Noel Alejandro is an independent filmmaker and adult films director whose work goes beyond the explicit to capture authentic human interactions in an artistically beautiful way. In light of the evolving situation surrounding COVID-19, Noel made the difficult decision to cancel his upcoming shoots for the safety of his crew and actors. As he develops new storylines and navigates the uncertainty of his next chapter, he has found comfort in connecting with friends and watching the movement of the city from his balcony.
Maintaining connection from afar
Film Director
05 APR 2020 I'm Noel Alejandro, a film director born in Barcelona and based in Berlin. I make films for adults, mostly oriented toward gay men, but in a totally different way than what we are used to watching. My films have a storyline, elaborated characters and also bring together certain aesthetic and artistic values that, in general, adult cinema does not have.
In my films, the actors have a reason to exist and coexist, and the sex scenes are natural and explicit. In short, I make pornographic films with a particular sensitiveness.
First of all, I had to cancel the shootings I had planned for April, and we will see if I can film in May.
My shootings involve up to 10-12 people and I can't put anyone's health at risk. This shutdown will bring unpredictable consequences to my business, which despite being online, since I distribute my films on my website, will be affected by the lack of releases.
Thank God I have a balcony and can see people walking down the street.”
Thank God I have a balcony where I can see people walking down the street, this makes a big difference. I also do video conferences with my friends and I do my German classes on the internet.
I have taken the opportunity to work up some ideas I want to write for future scripts. However, I spend most of my time eating extra sugared-chocolate and reviewing Instagram.
I am especially surprised by the fierce determination of so many people to stay at home to avoid catching and spreading the virus to others.
I think it says a lot about people taking these measures seriously for the common good. It really makes me think what kind of monster I am—I went to REWE almost everyday.
People don't have to do anything to support me—just go to my website and watch my trailers, which are free. If you like them enough, then you can buy them or just enjoy them.
It is important that people see that there is another kind of adult cinema, a cinema that highlights the beauty of human feelings, both good and bad, and with which they can also enjoy at such a level!
